Coral emailed me boasting of their Black Friday bet boosts so I made my way to a branch to have a look.

Nothing really piqued my interest but I was given two £2 free bets on their self service betting terminals so I did some lengthy accumulators and I had two free hot chocolates (they thought I was a mystery shopper and I wasn’t going to miss out on this fine treatment).
The kind that customers used to come and me, excitedly jabbing their finger on the one selection they got wrong. I used to irritably think about the fact that if they were online they could get the stake back with insurance.
But tangibly holding a little piece of paper that could change one’s life forever does have a certain majesty.

I looked at oddschecker and they were advertising 138 a company I have never come across.
I have bet on their enhanced 33/1 on a goal to be scored in the West Ham Leicester game this evening.
All day I have been checking Ladbrokes (yeah nice try, offering me £5 in play if I bet £5 and then cloaking it as some sort of Black Friday deal as if you don’t do this every week). William Hill haven’t offered me anything related to football, but at least acknowledged Black Friday.
Sky have a boosted 25/1 on Hazard to score outside the area against Liverpool tomorrow which seems plausible enough – I’ll be pissed off if that comes through as I resisted.
So, in summary and conclusion, for me Black Friday betting hasn’t been terribly exciting.
